Finishing 2011 with a FIGHT!

Busy, Busy, Busy

Decided to join Anytime Fitness right before Thanksgiving, was blessed to have met an amazing personal trainer, Gilbert. We set me up on a training schedule and he told me about a supplement program he is part of and the 24 day challenge they were holding. Of course I have tried EVERYTHING out there with no long term success so I jumped on board!

So here it is, I started my 24 day challenge with the supplement 15 days ago! Day 1 and Day 10 we took measurements and weighed in. I was SUPER proud of myself as in the first 10 days I lost 8 pounds and 5 inches! Really! I did that in the first 10 days!!!! So with all of this I decided to become a distributor for the same supplement company as my trainer. My sight is https://www.advocare.com/1112284/default.aspx

Now I can't say that the last 15 days have been super easy either. I have cut out all sugars, and almost all carbs. I eat stricked amounts of food five times daily along with drinking one-two gallons of water and exercise six days a week! Thank goodness I have Eric and Gilbert to push me three of those days! But I am excited to loose the weight the right way this time. It has been a challenge to not have some foods I love but on the flip side Paul and the kids are usually eating what I am so as a family we are all eating healthier!

So with all of that said - Just nine more days and I will post my beginning, ten day and 24 day measurements and weights.

30th Birthday

Turning 30 wasn't so bad after all.
I really thought that 30 was going to be a BIG thing. I was worried I would be sad or depressed that I am no longer in my twenties and yadi yadi yada. So not true!

First I have to start by saying I did have plenty of weepy moments on my 30th Birthday but none of them were because of my new age. I was having a hard time because I was without my friends and family. I am totally in a new life, one I had never imaged; but I felt pretty alone. On the flip side last year I was surrounded with friends and family and was lonely because my husband was in Oregon... so this year it was all just flipped!

So far, two days in, 30 has been GREAT! I have been blessed with the opportunity of a lifetime this year. My wonderful husband has allowed me to not work with this move and make time to really focus 100% on me (well from 8-3 when the kids are gone at school, wink* wink*.) I have to say I am pretty damn proud of myself and what I have accomplished since we have moved here. I found a great college and am enrolled!!!! I have found an amazing gym with even more amazing and I might add pretty cute trainers! I have totally changed the way I eat and take care of myself!!!! I am eating right, sleeping right, going to the gym six days a week (3 weeks and counting)! Its great, I get to be a stay at home mom, a housewife, a student and well a 30 year old woman fighting to get healthy, lose unwanted weight and get in shape. What more could I ask for?

So on that note, I have to say 30 is pretty great!
