Funny, last night I tried so hard to get some sleep but I was so excited to go to the gym and get my measurements done. Today is the 24th day of my 24 Day Challenge.
I am down 17 pounds!!!!!
I have also lost a total of 11.25 inches!!!!!
Today I am jumping out of my skin with joy. 24 Days ago I was still wearing my super cute 17/18 Hydraulic Jeans that I totally loved. Today, I am wearing women's size 12, juniors size 13 jeans!!
So went Paul and I started dating 6+ years ago I wore a 14/16. I have yo-yo'd weight wise for so long. When I went shopping and snugly fit into my jeans last weekend I was thrilled! I put my jeans away for the week and continued to bust butt at the gym and today I was able to button them with no effort, actually I have a feeling I am going to already need new jeans in a couple of weeks. But that I am okay with.
As of today I have lost 46 pounds since I moved here to Arizona. So you ask how is my Arizona Life?
Well as of today - FANTASTIC! There are no more excuses. There is no holding back and there is NO WAY I am putting any of those pounds back on! This was not a New Year's Resolution like most. When I moved here, I decided I needed to change my life. I needed to find that happy place and work on me. I am blessed to have an amazing, supportive husband that has allowed me and supported me all the way through this. On my good days and on my bad ones!
Now that I am loving being thinner than even when I met my husband there is no stopping me! My goal is to be in a size 5-7. Honestly, I look back at pictures and didn't really like how unhealthy I looked when I was super thin, so I have decided not be be thin but to be healthy. My goal is to lose another 30 pounds and after my challenge this month I can see that my goal is obtainable and can't wait.
Not every program out there works for everyone. However if you are interested in the one I am doing let me know. I would love to share how I got here. I have eaten 5-6 meals every single day, I have not starved myself of gone hungry and am only doing 45 minutes to an hour of cardio daily. But I am living proof that if you set your mind to something you can do it. 46 pounds since we moved here at the end of August, gone!

Vehicles in Arizona
I tell ya, it doesn't pay to drive in Arizona. The registration process was a fun nightmare! Had to get Arizona Driver's License, then insurance, go to some special emissions place an hour out of my way and then off to the DMV to get new plates. It was a long morning of errands. Found out my truck insurance is $145 more here.
Then on the way home received a phone call from our insurance agent who advised me that to insure our travel trailer here the costs is more than double!! GRRR! Not sure what to do with the trailer yet.
So according to our insurance agent he says that the insurance rates in Arizona are more due to the way that people drive in the metro area and the amount of accidents. According to our neighbors the truth behind it is that we are within an hour or two of the border and often times vehicles are stolen and taken across the border so insurance rates are high because of stolen vehicles.
Either way what ever the true story of the high insurance rates are it is DUMB! Being a good driver and earning my low insurance went out the door when we moved to Arizona. Finding how much more expensive it is to live here. Not sure how many people can afford to drive. Housing is CHEAP but apparently that is it!
For now - at least we got the truck that was due licensed and registered here. Insurance is taken care of for now. Seriously need to start thinking of options for the trailer. Hmmm.

Arizona State Fair
We hit the Arizona State Fair last weekend! Sunday's before noon you can get in for FREE! Which as nice bonus. I was amazed at how huge the fair is here. In Utah the fair is a much smaller scale and they only have half the rides, a quarter of the food options and games. It was amazing!
We checked out several of the exhibits there too. The coolest of all was the Human Body Exhibit. The kids were a little freaked out but it was so cool to see real human bones, tissues and organs. It was really fascinating! Too bad they didn't allow photography or I would have posted some neat pictures.
As for the rest of the fair, they had 68 rides; not little kiddy land rides but real rides. It reminded me of Lagoon. The only things they were really missing were the roller coasters. Guess those might be hard to move and set up for a 3 week event. We just might have to go back again to see what we may have missed!
